Panicking Dog Wakes Up Mom And Drags Her Over To Baby’S Crib

If angels showed up on earth, they might just take the shape of dogs! Dogs always seem to be in the business of protecting humans and saving us from some terrible situations. The story of one rescue dog might just convince you that he was sent to protect a baby whose life was in danger.

The story started when a certain family adopted a dog from a shelter.

It was a fateful day when the Brousseau family decided to check out a shelter in Portland, Connecticut to get a dog.

Looking around the shelter, they were led to a miserable little pup named Duke. Of course, they fell in love with him. The family took one look and knew that they wanted to give him a second chance in life with a family who would truly love him. What the Brousseau’s family didn’t know was that Duke would one day repay the people who saved him.

Fast forward five years and the Brousseaus are about to add to their family!

Duke had already been living with his new family for five years when they found out they were having a baby! Duke took up his role as friend and baby-guardian without anyone asking. When they first brought baby Harper home, there was an instant connection between her and Duke.

Duke started acting a bit strangely around Harper, however.

The baby was just weeks old and Duke has been doing his job as baby Harper’s guard. He would always stay beside the baby’s crib and check on Harper from time to time. One night, Duke sensed something was wrong and so he began to feel agitated, as he has no idea what to do. The concerned pooch immediately ran towards his owners to call for help. As Duke’s owners were fast asleep, he jumped into the bed and tried his best to wake them up.

Shaking his parents, Duke was anxiously trying to get the attention of the adults. Something was wrong.

The Brousseaus finally woke up to the dog’s panicked state and got up to see what was happening. They were just surprised to see the dog whimpering as if something is in trouble. When the mom asked Duke what was wrong, he then immediately led them towards the baby’s room. The family panicked when they noticed that Harper was not breathing and so they called 911 to rush her to the hospital.

With seconds to spare, they were able to save baby Harper’s life.

Baby Harper was rushed to the emergency room where the doctors worked their miracles.

Who knows how terrifyingly close the family was to losing their baby. If it wasn’t for Duke, they would have had no idea something was wrong until hours later the next morning. Five years later and Duke was cashing in on that promise to repay the family that meant everything to him.

Duke, a rightful hero, was shown on major news broadcasts across the nation! While we can’t prove anything, Duke might have just been an angel in a cute and cuddly disguise.
